The Beginning of the Odyssey
Every great journey begins with a single conversation.
Primus, the founder of Odyssey Blades, didn’t set out to build a blade brand. But when his wife Ridz — a woman raised in the City of Cutlery — looked at him one day and said, “This business has changed people’s fortunes, why not ours?” — everything changed.
He researched. He asked questions. He visited workshops. He built. He began.
The name Odyssey didn’t come overnight. It came after months of research — late nights, countless searches, and a genuine hunt for a word that meant something. The answer came from a game about an ancient warrior’s legendary journey — a world of combat, blades, and destiny.
The word resonated immediately.
An odyssey is a long, transformative journey marked by challenge, change, and the relentless pursuit of fortune. That is exactly what this brand represents.
From one conversation between a husband and wife to collectors across the world — this is a journey still being written, one blade at a time.
The Woman Behind the Vision
Before there was Odyssey Blades, there was Ridz.
Ridz grew up in the City of Cutlery — a place where generations of craftsmen have built their lives around steel, cutlery, and blade-making.
It was Ridz who saw the opportunity first. She understood that the craftsmanship surrounding her had value far beyond the city itself, and she pushed Primus to turn an idea into reality.
Odyssey Blades exists because of her vision.
Every blade we ship carries a piece of that beginning.
The Turning Point
From the First Sword Forward
In the early days of Odyssey Blades, Primus went looking for the craftsmen who would bring the brand to life.
He arrived at a workshop in the City of Cutlery — and found it closed.
The manufacturer came anyway.
Outside the shuttered workshop, he placed a sword in Primus’s hands for the first time: a Jon Snow sword forged in Damascus steel.
That was the moment everything became real.
Holding a handcrafted blade inspired by a story loved by millions made the vision clear: Odyssey Blades would connect the stories people love with the craftsmanship capable of bringing them to life.
Today, our blades are individually handcrafted by skilled craftsmen and many are made to order.
We create swords and collectibles inspired by stories, games, history, and fantasy.
Our first order came from Canada, the United States became our primary market, and our blades have since reached collectors beyond both.
Every order matters. Every blade carries a story.
